REVIVAL

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.”  (2 Chr 7:14-15) (KJV)

•  First we must be saved (His people)

• Second we must to come to God in humility (Not my will; but God's Will).  We must ask God to forgive us of the pride in our lives in whatever form it has taken.

• Third we must pray in desperation, like our lives depend on it and it does.  "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."  (Matt 7:7-8)  "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”  (Jer 29:13) (KJV)

• Fourth we must seek His Face.  This is not praying but entering His Presence to have communion and relationship with Him.  "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.”  (Ps 27:8) (KJV)

•  Fifth we must turn from our wicked ways.  "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thougts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."  (PS 139:23-24) "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (PS 19:14) (KJV)

• Sixth we must have unity. Matt 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (KJV). The disciples were together in one accord in one place on the day of Pentecost

• Seventh we must have perseverance.  We need to learn to wait as they did in the Upper Room. The ones that waited believed the promise given by the Lord was a sure word and kept it close to their hearts. Heb 10:35-36  "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." (KJV)
